STR Participants List

Overall description: This table, which is updated daily by the Banco Central do Brasil, contains the list of all Sistema de Transferência de Reservas – STR (Reserves Transfer System) participating institutions.

Fields description:

ISPB: Stands for “Identificador do participante junto ao Banco Central para o Sistema de Pagamentos Brasileiro”. It is the identification code assigned to all participants of Reserves Transfer System – STR.

Short_Name: Participant’s reduced name registered at the Banco Central do Brasil

Code_Number: Identification code given by the Banco Central do Brasil to participants of STR. Número-Código replaces the old código COMPE. All STR participants, except Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs) and the Secretaria do Tesouro Nacional (National Treasury), have a número-código whether or not they participate on the Centralizadora da Compensação de Cheques (Compe) – Checks clearinghouse. The field has the annotation “n/a” (“not applicable”) for the STR participants that are not assigned a code-number.

Participation_in_Compe: Informs if the participant of STR also participates in the Centralizadora da Compensação de Cheques (Compe)

Main_access: Informs the main mean of technical access of the participant to STR: the private network Rede do Sistema Financeiro Nacional (RSFN) or the world wide web (internet)

Full_name: (Complete name) Name of the participant registered at the Banco Central do Brasil

Start_Date: Starting date of the institution’s participation in STR
